The Bug would like to salute Pep Guardiola for being a breath of fresh air in football. Whilst managers of English clubs bicker in public and play mind numbing games with each other through the media, Pep comes along and shows a humility not seen before. Whether you love his "I am like a little boy with new shoes" quote on his excitement at the prospect of playing Chelsea, or his "the key is to be humble" quote on how he can carry on the success he has enjoyed during his first year in charge, you cannot do anything but like the guy. Then there is the "Premio Principe de Asturias de los Deportes" A major sporting award in Spain given to a world class sportsman who has excelled, previous winners include Nadal, Schumacher and Lance Armstrong. On being nominated Pep said "I am thankful, but I would like it to be given to someone else. I believe that it is a very prestigious prize and it goes to sportsmen who have done things very well over long periods of time, where as my journey has been short," This guy hasn't just changed football on the pitch but hopefully off it too.
