FOOTBALL WRITERS ANNOUNCE FAN OF SEASON

The Football Writers have announced their "Fan of the Season. " Following in the footsteps of the PFA (see previous story) the "Writers" after voting 5 Man Utd Players out of 6 as their Players of the Year (well done Steven Gerrard) have announced that their Fan of the Year is John Farley from Watford. On receiving his award Mr Farley said, "I am honoured to get the PFA and Football Writers Double but after following football for 30 years I realise that having won 28 League Titles (where did Blackburn and Leeds come from?) 21 FA Cups and 16 League Cups makes me one of the most successful fans of all time. My bedroom at my mum and dad's is full of memorabilia and I am not sure where the Man City stuff will fit next year. They want me to move out"
