In deciding who should be our Player of the Year, the professionals at Chelsea FC used a number of criteria. We would like to say that John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole where at a function for under privileged children when we cast our votes. The criteria were:
(1) Had the player in question put his own self interest first, in joining Chelsea FC, and not understood that the football masses would judge him a low life traitor vis a vis Sol Campbell
(2) Has he or does he show potential to cheat on his wife, his partner, his childhood football club purely because he can
(3) Has he been a role model for the players in showing a complete lack of respect to match officials
After careful consideration, Ashley Cole was the unanimous choice and as such is our Player of the Year.
